Our expert team of 15 toolmakers work across our tool room which is kitted out with both three and five-axis CNC machining centre capabilities. With full CNC EDM die sink and Fanuc CNC wire EDM, we offer both rapid injection mould tooling, pilot and bridge tooling, and full production tooling in a range of tool steels. Our tooling is fully designed and manufactured in-house at Omega Plastics, our Gateshead facility, and includes DFM, machining, EDM, polishing and fitting. This ensures that we can manufacture your injection mould tool through efficient rapid tooling processes.
Our tool room capabilities acknowledge the diverse range of sectors we cater for. We understand that volume requirements can differ depending on your project requirements. Because of this, we can develop tooling in:
- Aluminium rapid tooling – using only the best injection mould grades available.
- P20 bridge to production tooling – a pre-toughened tool steel which gives you good longevity on most standard polymers.
- H13 and Stavax steel production tooling – fully hardened tool steels which enhance production volumes, Stavax is commonly used for Healthcare applications.
