Senior Quality Engineer

Signal Plastics is recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer for our site in Washington. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the application of the operational quality processes across the business to ensure parts are manufactured in line with customer expectations and agreed quality standards. Omega Plastics - Gateshead

Shift Team Leader

Omega Plastics is recruiting for three Shift Team Leaders for its site on Team Valley in Gateshead. The Shift Team Leader will report to the Head of Operations and be responsible for leading a team of injection moulding and assembly operators on shift, working closely with the setters and quality team to ensure the safe and efficient production of products that meet our quality standards. They will work on a 3-shift rotation over a 5-day working week (starting Sunday night shift).

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferably within plastic injection moulding or the automotive sector), who have excellent people leadership qualities and a desire to contribute to continuous improvement. We will pay £13.50 per hour (plus shift allowance). Shifts are on a 3 shift rotation pattern of Days, Nights and Backs. You will receive shift allowance of 7% for back shift and 14% for night shift.

Injection Moulding Machine Setters

We are interested to speak to experienced Injection Moulding Machine Setters to join our technical teams and contribute to our drive for continuous improvement and efficiency.

We are looking for people with the right technical skills, experience, commitment and enthusiasm. In return, we offer a competitive pay and benefits package.

The role is responsible for the initial set up of the mould tools at the beginning of a production run and is a technical "go to" person and key problem solver on the production shift. The setter works closely with the shift leader to achieve right first time and on time operational performance within a safe working environment. Full details are in the role description.

Production Operatives

We regularly recruit Production Operatives to work as part of the production, assembly and inspection teams at our Team Valley and Washington sites. You will follow standard operations to ensure the products we make are manufactured or assembled within the allotted cycle time, conform to specification and are packed off in line with the packaging specification and with the required quality standards.
